February Playlist – Music 🎧 + Monthly blog update πŸ“· πŸ–Š

Good day, lovely visitor! How’s it going? Today I woke up in a particularly odd mood. I couldn’t really sleep last night. But I’m tired of being tired.
fruit hummus cacao chaga breakfast
Breakfast always puts a smile on my face
So I decided I’d change my mood because we all have that power, believe it or not.
kneading bread dough
Kneading bread dough (or any other dough) is something that raises my vibration instantly. I love working with my hands.
It wasn’t an automatic response of the body. You have to go through a process. At least I have to.
Yogurt with cereal and fruit
The result is: I am writing this at 18:08, in the afternoon, and after more than ten hours awake my mood has shifted to “full of life, hopeful and glad”. Even happy.
pear gorgonzola walnuts and honey on toast
We don’t really give ourselves the credit we deserve as human beings.
flan tiramisu raspberries and blueberries
I couldn’t decide between flan and tiramisΓΊ. I ate half and half ✌🏻
Here goes the February playlist, because…if your mood is not the best right now, music always helps. ALWAYS.
January has been a long but fulfilling month for me. I had to travel to several places to shoot our next music video. It was hard work, don’t get me wrong.
Avocado toast kimchi cacao and orange juice breakfast
Avocado toast for breakfast, homemade kimch, cacao and orange juice. Probably the best breakfast for a hard day at work.
Nonetheless, the fact of being able to travel right before the restrictions got worse due to covid19, was a true blessing.
eating at a restaurant
It was four in the afternoon and we finished shooting and we hadn’t even eaten anything. We stopped at the closest restaurant to ask if they still served food, even a sandwich would suffice. They didn’t. So I kindly asked for the closest place or supermarket. Then, I asked to go to the toilet too. A girl has to pee. When I went out, the cook got out of the kitchen and told us she’d serve us the menu of the day if we were happy with it. Such an amazing woman. She understood we needed something warm because of the cold weather. And, well, I might have looked really sad after they told me the kitchen was closed.
homemade soup
To be honest, it was so cold that if she told me she’d only given me soup, I’d accept. That’s not an insult to soup people. I am soup people πŸ™‚
garbanzos con chorizo
Soup is probably the best thing you can eat when it’s cold. Apart from hot cacao, of course. Although the Garbanzos con chorizo that Carlos ate were amazing.
garbanzos con chorizo
After the second course that was as good as the first, I ended up the meal with a decaf to go because we needed sunlight to end the shooting.
takeout coffee to go
The weather is something I love to reflect on. I don’t quite understand why people is usually complaining because of the weather. I love when the weather changes. January started with low temperatures here. We reached -3ΒΊC one day, not very common in the area. Today while I’m writing I don’t even need the heater.
yogur fruta y turrΓ³n blando
Outside we are 16ΒΊC and it’s the last day of January. Ironic and weird, two things to be grateful for.
frost
Another place we had to travel for shooting this video is Camelle, Carlos’s hometown. I can’t emphasize how much I love that place. Plus, having Carlos’s parents there is a bonus for eating amazing food. They even gave us some seafood to carry home and I couldn’t be more grateful. I am a grateful person, as you can see πŸ€— Take that into account, and I also love people who gives me food…just in case we meet in person 🀣
bogavante lobster
Carlos’s dad goes fishing often and he always gifts us with some frozen fish. That is another thing to be grateful for. Get yourself a good work mate to live with so you can get all those good things ✌🏻
Marmitako de atΓΊn
Marmitako made with tuna from I brought from Camelle.
Apart from that, I’ve gotten wet, satayed in the middle of intense wind, got too much sun and all of that in one single month. January’s weather has been crazy.
hot cacao and croissant
Homemade cacao and a croissant “in the dipping” πŸ˜…
February is another month to look forward too. Even if I still have to work on the music video (just made a quick break from writing to do some coloring right now 😁 ) I am going to make sure I celebrate the release of our upcoming album ΒΏPor quΓ© siempre cantΓ‘is en inglΓ©s? (Translates to: Why do you always sing in English? It’s our first album in Spanish and we love some irony every now and then)
I’m very happy 😊
Each album is a new baby and in February I will be a proud mother of four. I can’t believe how much effort we put in this one. I can’t believe it’s not even begining!
yogurt and fruit
I send you all my love if you are struggling right now, but I’d love to let you know that if you are, better times are coming. I know because life is always changing, that’s the only thing that never changes.
There’s always a new sunrise to look forward to. This one was particularly amazing.
If you are in lockdown and you need some inspiration, why don’t you try this recipe? Have you ever heard of callos? it’s quite a tasty dish, and I’ve veganised it a while ago. Very cheap, easy, protein-rich and warm for a winter day.
Callos veganos
Vegan Callos
fabada vegana
This is similar to those Vegan Callos, but it’s actually vegan fabada. I love a good dish that can be eaten with a spoon.
If you are craving something sweet, here’s this Vegan Raw Carrot Cake. It’s lovely and fresh, for after all those chickpeas.
