February 2024: Monthly update. France, melancholy and the food I ate.

Hey there! How was your January? I bring you the playlist first because I feel like we already have our own little ritual of listening to the tunes while writing/reading my blog posts.

My January has been full of joy for the most part, then it became melancholic again. One can’t always be positive, I guess it’s the ebb and flow of life. Emotions are changing constantly. I don’t force happiness because I love melancholy as much as I do other positive emotions.

But you’re here for the food, and all month had a positive note as far as food is concerned 🙂

I went to Angoulême again as I did last year and the food was equally good. My experience there was a bit different, because of the mental state I was in. This reminds me the importance of interpreting your life in a different manner.

Because, you know…when you feel meancholic, everything arounds you reaffirms your way of thinking. When you are happy, the same happens.

It actually has to do with your own brain and its mechanisms to satisfy your most recurrent thoughts. You can call it your vibration too. It’s actually two different ways of saying the same, one feels a bit more scientifical and the other a bit more spiritual.

I found myself that human beings always say the same with different words. I actually felt ridiculous in many conversations knowing that the other person who was arguing with me was saying exactly the same with different words.

Being a Libra, I’m a diplomat and love a good discussion, even a good argument. That’s why whenever I see a youtube video when someone clarifies “this is my own experience so it may not work for you” I kind of laugh and cry a little bit inside.

I understand that in our modern society we have to be always aware that other people are susceptible to what we say (the same way we are to other people’s opinions, of course) but I also understand that nobody has any idea of what you’re going through. That’s your responsibility.

In fact, one of the main topics I discuss in my coaching sessions with my lovely clients is the difference between responsibility and guilt. One gives you power, the other takes it from you. It’s a very important difference.

In case you want to make some pancakes for Pancake Day, I leave you a recipe here.

I also made a video for my other youtube channel in Spanish. I had my fun doing it.

I hope you enjoy your month untlil we turn on the radio again to synchronize our lifes with the same tunes.

I’d love if you recommended me some musicians or songs you are currently listening to. I’m kind of in a rut as far as music is concerned and feel like I have to make an effort to find things that I truly love, so your advice would be appreciated.

And that’s a wrap for this month. Have a wonderful one! Have fun and keep fooding.
